Hey all, so I just wanted to apologise for ghosting! A lot's been happening here and I haven't had the time nor much inclination to do any art. So my aim for 2019 is to experiment more with traditional art and to put more time and thought into drawings, so I will be posting here more sparingly.

So the last time I posted a journal I had just started my 'dream' job, that was a bit of an overstatement as it wasn't so much my dream job but rather it's always been my dream to work in a zoo, and I ended up working as a presenter in one of the best zoos in the UK! So, this means I do the animal talks on the microphone to hundreds of people at a time. The role was seasonal, and in the 2 years of working at the zoo I have had 3 seasonal roles. A permanent position came up, but although I applied for it I didn't get it. I was, however, offered a job at my zoo's sister zoo as a presenter, it's way less hours but as I recently started my masters degree (Msc Conservation Biology) it's ideal as I have time to do both!
What else is new? Well, we have a cat now, two of my lizards laid eggs (one of which I thought was a boy until then) and a bunch of family stuff happened which I'd rather not go into. But all in all, I'm good, life is good, and I'm excited to get some more art up!

Love Trumps Hate

My thoughts are with all of you living in America... What a terrible thing to happen. Although it's little consolation, please try to stay strong and know that there are people in your country and across the world that support you + oppose Trump and the things he stands for. The future may look bleak, but humans are tenacious, you WILL survive, you are stronger than him. Just stay safe everyone.
I'm not saying Hillary Clinton was a good choice. In my opinion, you were between the Devil and the deep blue sea. I just hope Trump's term is short, and/or a lot of what he has said does not come to light.
